Our Story
Allied Alloys was founded in 2006 by Andy Mitch Greenberg to fill a critical gap in the market: the need for a privately held, American-owned and operated processor of stainless steel and high-temperature alloys. In 2008, the Turakhia family joined as partners, bringing a shared passion for innovation, integrity, and excellence.
From its early days, Allied Alloys has been driven by a commitment to quality and agility. In 2010 the company expanded with divisions in Dallas and Los Angeles but has since streamlined operations to focus on its Houston headquarters—where it continues to lead the industry with cutting-edge processes and a bold vision for the future.
A major milestone in Allied’s journey was the formation of its executive leadership team, including the 2022 appointment of Nidhi Turakhia as CEO. Under her leadership, Allied has embraced a strategic framework that includes ambitious growth targets, operational excellence, and a deep-rooted commitment to community and culture.
The new leadership team will continue the focus on making a positive environmental impact by supplying an alternative to mining critical minerals. Our foundational practice of always sourcing responsible high integrity metals for our in-house sorting and processing facilities has allowed us to create precision blends. Our blend and high-performance alloy packages support end markets across the medical, technology, defense, aerospace, renewable energy, electronics, and power generation sectors. We are proud to be a part of the U.S. recycling supply chain and will always stand by our mission to deliver high-integrity metals for the world’s most demanding applications.

Community Commitment
At Allied Alloys, giving back is part of our DNA. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we organized a food drive that fed over 450 families. We’ve partnered with the Houston Police Department for back-to-school supply drives, Halloween candy donations, and bicycle giveaways for students. Our team also contributes to clothing drives and other charitable efforts throughout the year.
